Friend Connect's strategy is to integrate as many networks as possible. E.g. twitter, etc. We want an open social web. And we would be happy to integrate Networked Blogs (we provide a programming interface so they can easily do this) I would keep both, and ask "Networked Blogs" to integrate so that there are fewer silos.
